Our Select program is a competitive program in addition to the house league program for Novice through Midget. Tyke aged players can try out for Novice and will be asked to move up to Novice house league if they make the team. 2002 birth years or first year Juvenile players are eligible to try out for Midget. Tryouts for the team will be held in early October and cost $15 per tryout and we hold normally 3 of them per division.
Our select program will consist of a Select tournament here in London December 6-8. A tournament in Barrie, January 3-5 and an Ontario Rep Hockey tournament here in London, February 28-March 1. The Peewee to Midget divisions will take part in an ORHL tournament in Brampton November 22-24. Our Novice team is looking to join a one day tournament in Toronto in November. The Atom team will look to see if they can organize an event as well.
Teams will play six to ten exhibition games outside of the tournaments as well as twelve to fifteen practices.
Final prices will not be set until the fall when ice allocations are firm, but will be approximately $600-$800.Prices will vary depending on the amount of players per team, how many games they schedule, any fund raising a team takes part in and if the player has socks or jersey from last year that can be used again.

Dennis Westaway- Select Novice Head Coach
I have coached my older son Dallas in Novice and Atom and coached my younger son in Tyke and Novice. After introducing both boys into the Selects Program last season I thought it would be a nice challenge to coach at that level. I grew up playing hockey and I feel that I learned a lot from my coaches. I would like to pay it forward by teaching young players how to not only be good hockey players, but also good people. I feel that the lessons you learn from hockey in regards to respect for teammates, coaches and opponents helps develop skills you need to be successful in life as you grow older.
I am looking forward to a fun season of some wins, maybe some losses but most important new friends and lots of fun at a competitive level.
Hockey doesn’t build character, it reveals it!
Joe Hogg-Atom Head Coach
Hello everyone I would like to tell you all about my history at Red Circle. I played at Red Circle as a child and I guess now is my time to give back.
I've been coaching in this league since my son (Joseph #15 of the 2017/18 team Canada house league novice champions,) was just starting to play hockey in the mite division. Since then I have coached Tyke winter, summer 5/5, Tyke winter, summer 5/5, Novice Selects, Novice winter, Novice Selects and currently I am coaching a 5/5 summer Atom team at the Western Fair. Not to mention the 3/3 tournaments that I have helped on the bench with. I will not be taking all credit for this as my partner in crime Justin Smith was at my side at the beginning. This will be Joe’s fourth season coaching with Selects.

His oldest son has been a referee and a timekeeper with Red Circle and his youngest is now looking to sign up as a timekeeper as well.
